We love stir-fry. If you want to know how much, then check out our post about it HERE. Now stir fry is great, but sometimes it can end up a bit dry. The way we handle that is by making a yum-yum sauce. If you haven’t heard of yum-yum or never tried it, it is commonly served in Japanese steakhouses along with the hibachi. It is paired best with seafood and fried rice, hence why it pairs nicely with stir-fry.
The secret to making a good sauce is to taste as you go but, to make a good yum-yum sauce you, need to let it sit for at least an hour before use. That, of course, makes it difficult to control the flavor. Make sure you at least like the flavor before letting it rest.
Here is our recipe:
½ Cup mayo
2 Tbsp sugar
1Tbsp white vinegar
1Tsp Paprika (smoked paprika works just as well)
Salt
Pepper
