Kay and I find ourselves in an interesting place these days, just like many of you. We find ourselves at home stuck with each other. For us though, our jobs are actually remote so you would think life has not really changed, right? Wrong.

As we sit in week ??? isolated in our home it becomes clear just how different things are. On the surface not much has changed but what has, has had a major impact on us. First Kay is a social creature and as such has had no contact with the outside world and it’s driving her nuts. Phone calls and video chats aren’t enough, they help but aren’t the same. Next, we had weekly events hanging out with friends or heading to a parent’s household. With those gone our weeks all just seem to blend together. We have paused wedding planning. We constantly worry about our health and the health of our families (I have a sister from New York, Kay has aging grandparents). It also didn’t help that for a bit our puppy got sick (more on that later).
We have had our ups and downs but we still have hope. One day this will be over and the world will be changed maybe for a bit better. We are so happy we have each other during this time and we hope you all are taking advantage of this extra time with family and making the best of these unprecedented times.

Please stay home and stay safe!
